Happy Employees, Happy Life

August 20th, 1820

Some people may argue that we treat our employees poorly. But I believe the introduction of Capitalism into Europe, helped make industry safer. The government is made up of royalty, and their policies and laws only encourage poor treatment, they also do not want us to challenge their power. Laborers flocked by the thousands in search of jobs in the big city, if they did not previously have a job, then we are helping them make money. We supplied them with money to feed themselves, their family, and buy a home. "I sell here, Sir, what all the world desires to have—POWER." What I, Matthew Boulton, meant by this statement is that by making ourselves rich, we help make the people around us rich.

Mayer Amschel Rothschild's Life

May 7th, 1790

I was born in the year, 1744, and my early life consisted of living, above my father's shop with my 30 relatives living with me. My father was a money changer and a silk cloth trader, Essentially what those jobs do, is you give him something and he gives you a little bit less of something else, or he charges you for the trade, so his profits come from other people. For example, if you have one specific currency and you want another type of currency, he will exchange it for you, but he will charge you for it. and for the silk side, he would purchase it from someone, and sell it for more, or trade it for something of a higher value. My parents passed away, when I was only 12 years of age, but this did not bother me too much, except for the fact that I lost the influence of my father. After my father's death, I took up an apprenticeship with a man, which had expertise in world trade. I started off on my own, selling and buying rare coins. this soon led to me having connections with prince william and receiving a grant as court agent. I then married my current wife, Gutle Shnapper, her father was very generous and he gave me a pleasant amount of money, her father, also being a court agent, like myself. I had ten children with Gutle, five boys and five girls, and I rapidly arranged their marriages. I then changed my profession from exchanging, to banking, and my money count went up like a bird. I was however unorganized and had lost a large quantity of money in this process simply by leaving it unattended for long periods of time. and by this time, my early life was finishing and i was beginning to affect the world scale.

How to Make Money

September 18, 1812

Lying on my death bed I look back at my life and realize what a life I have lived. Growing up, life was tough in the Jewish slums of Frankfurt. I took it upon myself to become a banker, offering my services to the people of Frankfurt. I made some large deals with the princes of several European countries, and business was soon booming. All my life I had been yearning for money, this could explain why I became a banker. When you control people's money it is easy to make money. Like I once said, "Give me control of a Nation's money supply, and I care not who makes its laws." One of my main principles that guided me from the slums of Frankfurt is that to make money, you need money.

What is Capitalism?

September 17th, 1778

Capitalism is when a country's trade and industry is run by private owners  instead of the state. I was the first to introduce this form of how to run a country. As I,Adam Smith, once said "It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion." I wrote many famous works including, The Wealth of Nations. Since I published my book in 1776 the idea of Capitalism spread. Honestly, I think Capitalism is the best way to run a nation.
